Michelle Obama’s reasons to study abroad

Study abroad experiences are not as easy to received for many minority and low-income students. Hopefully, as the world continues to shrink through the use of technology this will become both a physical and experiential reality for more students looking to study abroad.

I would emphasize that learning is not only for the “youth” and that adults continue to develop in their thinking and being as the world undergoes radical and disruptive changes.  As an adult educator I hope to see educational support for not just undergraduates, but adult professionals and graduate students as well.  In the motto of my new social entrepreneurial venue e_Integralvention… “I’m still learning!”.

I feel very blessed as an adult learner, scholar, and practitioner, to be able to study and share in a civically engaged manner abroad. 🙂
