Dr. Bliss invited us out to El Centro in downtown Talca to the city´s cultural center for a show of Chilean Surrealist Artist who were painting and producing works during the same period as Pablo Picasso.

My new transpacific tech team. I officially extended membership to this pretigious group today for Fernando and Christían at Universidad Católica del Maule. I am a lot calmer now knowing I have the documents I need the most. I told them they were going to be famous after I post our pictures to our blog. Again, special shout-out to my Compañera de oficina Veronica who put me in contact with these guys. 🙂
Fernando works on my dead computer to pull off files that I need now to continue my activities now
Christían also lends a hand to transfer my information to my flashdrive. I had hoped to transfer it all but he told me I had over 70GB of data and only 20GB of external saving capacity. So I cherry-picked out what I needed the most for the time being.

I kept seeing the word ¨paro¨ around campus in relation to the faculty´s huelga legal (legal strike).
El Paro
I´ve subsequently learned its the term being used to describe some students who have taken a role in support of the huelga legal. It means: strike; unemployment; unemployment insurance. I will need to talk more with some students to get a sense of their objectives in relations to the strike. Today the sindicato (union) voted to extend their strike to its 14th Day of activities today. I also saw a group of young students with signs relative to the strike who appeared headed for the protest site on San Miguel avenue.
The above mural and message reads:
Thank you because they teach us the value of winning and losing (with the word losing replaced by the black spray painted word fighting= luchando).
